After a fun run leading Growth at Optimism, I’m moving into an advisor role! It’s been a blast helping bring the Superchain to life! When I joined, the Superchain made up around 16.5% of Ethereum activity. Today, it’s closer to 80%. 4 of the top 5 L2s are now on the Superchain. Base, Kraken, Sony, Uniswap, and World are all building on the Superchain. I had the opportunity to talk to everyone, from institutions to app developers, and genuinely enjoyed every conversation. Huge thanks to the Optimism team, and a lot of love to my team for all their hard work - the sun was bright in our squad pic. Honestly kind of a metaphor, LOL! More soon on what’s next!

Just sharing some Sunday thoughts. Price action can be a bit demoralizing at times, but that’s part of being in this space. Highs and lows come with the territory. I’m still excited about the next 12 to 18 months, even if a breakout likely depends on a return to a risk-on macro. When that happens is anyone’s guess. Glad to see institutions starting to push for better token design. More projects are talking about routing revenue back to the token through buy-and-burn mechanics, creating deflationary models. Institutions will expect to see that kind of alignment. Teams that aren't exploring it over the next year are going to fall behind. On the tech side, we're probably still 18 to 24 months out from real adoption beyond finance. Payments, DeFi, stables, and RWAs are still the best fit for current infra. But teams like Zora, CCP (EVE: Frontier), and Farcaster are starting to break that pattern slowly. Easy to get caught up in price, but the real momentum is underneath. The winning thing is a misguided perspective Winning to me looks like: - Ethereum has been able to scale w/ many L2 ecosystems - Those ecosystems are seamlessly interoperable despite stack. - User journeys easily enable anyone w/ a phone to interact and it is still so early.

Every OP Chain in the Superchain operates under a standardized revenue sharing model with no exceptions or special treatment. The fee split is calculated as the greater of either 2.5% of chain revenue or 15% of onchain profit, defined as fee revenue minus L1 gas fees.

Congrats Worldcoin on the launch of their OP Stack chain to mainnet today! World-class (dad pun) teams like Coinbase, Sony, Uniswap, & Worldcoin are building on the Superchain, making OP Stack the gold standard for scaling Ethereum. It's great to have Sam Altman and Alex Blania building on the Superchain!

🪙 Like with all the other chains, @unichain will contribute the greater of 15% of net onchain profit or 2.5% of chain rev to the Optimism Collective. 🔑 Soon a portal will launch to show who is in OP governed blockspace (key handover), what chain configuration, stage, etc.

Fragmentation isn’t an issue for long. The Superchain solves for it. I think this time next year a vast majority of L2 transactions will be on OP Stack. Let’s keep tackling interop and thinking bigger than our current technical constraints.

I am excited about the future of the Superchain with interoperability. Check out Supersim (https://github.com/ethereum-optimism/supersim) Supersim is a lightweight tool to simulate the Superchain locally (with a single L1 and multiple OP-Stack L2s). ✨ Features * spin up multiple anvil nodes * predeployed OP Stack contracts and useful mock contracts (ERC20) * fork multiple remote chains (fork the entire Superchain) * simulate L1 <> L2 message passing (deposits) and L2 <> L2 message passing (interoperability)

Over 175 builders on Base were rewarded with over 9,000,000 OP tokens in the latest Retro Funding round because they contributed to the growth of the Superchain. Optimism continues to grow because of the incredible app and platform developers building with and on OP Stack.

Investing in the ecosystem is important, and Retro Funding just rewarded over 200 projects w/ 10,000,000 OP With 800,000,000 OP in Retro Funding, there's plenty to go around investing in the Superchain! This is in addition to the 500,000,000 OP Airdrops yet to be dropped. Few.
