my unsolicited 2 cents is that farcaster feels and is a tight nit community, rather than a network that's a good thing, but also a bad thing for the network? maybe? every time i open up warpcast, every cast is either referencing some new "iykyk" meta, or about crypto and as someone who isnt as interested in crypto as i used to be, i use fc less, because fc casts are very crypto/meta heavy, and if you dont know the meta, you're out of the loop if i had to ask Dan one question, it would be if he see's this as a positive or a negative, does Dan want casts to very crypto centric or more broad/different topics?

Of course I would like more people talking about more topics. Challenge is you can’t really grow by going broad. Need to go deep and then expand.

good feedback, thanks for taking the time to share it. we’re working on diversifying content on the platform so it isn’t so crypto centric. have only made a little bit of progress, but a lot to go! open to any and all feedback or suggestions. appreciate you!

I feel you, warpcast don't really have any type of marketing accept for web3 related shouts... Maybe we as community could find ways of our own to spread out.. Like giving out some free accounts or hide some in geocaching for marketing and sponsor related purposes. Lets make warpcast great again !

My algo knows me so it tends to skew away from crypto versus other feeds. I just scroll on by. Get a lot of garden pics from @ammelanoleuca slice of life from @marjorie insights from @links and many others but those are ones I feel I interact with the most.

I believe there's an issue of post reach. Either the team manually decides to boost new accounts (so that new users have a Wow effect), or the team favors existing account that are close to their western coast FC circle. Most of my casts don't get more than one or two engagements. But I don't believe I always cast dumb sh*t.. For instance yesterday I share a 2020 experience where I put a parallel between ai vibe coding and no-code vibe coding. This feeling you describe is exactly what inspired me to build @askwai Our goal with wAI is to help provide social context to Warpcast / FC to help new users and OGs. No one is born knowing this stuff and crypto loves making new slang and being cryptic. Having somewhere you can ask basic questions like why helps.

Core Warcast users are a like a 10k collection in app user form. I was looking at the @interface loading screen and it was surprising how many of the PFPs I could name solely from their Farcaster account.

I agree with you but also its about finding new content. I don’t post explicitly about crypto and have meet some similar people here. Imo trending feed is always same kind of posts and people. More variety being pushed would def help discover new quality profiles.
