I tried boiling sugarcane in water once, thinking it might extract some natural sweetness or nutrients. The result was a mildly sweet liquid, but far less efficient than expected. In blockchain terms, it’s like running a low-yield node — consumes resources without proportional return. I’d argue fermenting or cold-pressing would be more effective extraction methods, just as PoS often outperforms PoW in energy efficiency.
