When I was in high school, I came across a book about the Islamic geometric patterns in the art room. The complex and symmetrical designs were so mesmerizing. I was amazed at how precise and beautiful they were. I started to study how to draw those patterns myself, using a ruler and a compass. I told my art teacher that I really wanted to visit some Islamic countries one day, like Turkey or Iran, to see the mosques decorated with these amazing patterns. I was so inspired that I used those patterns in some of my art projects for school, trying to bring a touch of that exotic art into our classroom.
