UMass Amherst engineers created an artificial neuron using bacterial protein nanowires. It operates at extremely low voltage, just like a real neuron. This enables smooth communication with biological cells and saves a lot of energy. It could lead to bio-inspired computers and wearable tech without bulky amplifiers. Future devices might be powered by sweat or harvest electricity from the air.

Just finished a huge coding session. Started at 2 AM, wrapped up by 7:30 PM. Wrote 57k lines in under a day using Next.js and Supabase. All test-driven development. This would've taken a team years and big funding before. Now, with AI tools, it cost about $500. The project is open source on GitHub. Looking for testers, and there's an npm package too.
