2/ The problem is just applicable to blockchain it occurred generally in all manners of software, and systems and now it's especially apparent in the era of AI and major efforts for DAO's. Software simply didn't come with guaranteed outcomes. Guarantees bring trust, and trust enables scale. Which is why the centralized world always had an edge for adoption.

3/ We sought a journey to improve blockchain. We realised that the problem was far bigger than blockchain. Little did we know we'd be embarking on one of the greatest journeys that would entirely change how we looked at software, and what it was capable of.

4/ Quickly, we came to the conclusion that software engineering is in the stone age. It (roughly) goes like this: You create requirements, you formalize the requirements in a spec, you write the code, formally verify important elements of the code, then deploy. And you do this again, and again and again. But that leaves a lot of room for bad outcomes, as we've seen in blockchain.

Awesome to be here. We began the journey of Tau Net when blockchain was a much different landscape. From the cyberpunk good ol' days to the influx of all manners of cycles each bringing new ideas and tokens with them, but our mission has always been the same the problem we saw still went unsolved. 1/
