How I evaluate an alt’s “potential” without falling for narratives:
What is the asset’s job? (money, gas, governance, collateral, cashflow claim)
Who must buy it, structurally? (users, validators, protocols, speculators only?)
Supply reality: emissions, unlocks, and who owns the float.
Demand reality: users/activity that persist when incentives drop.
Moat: distribution, integrations, liquidity, and developer mindshare.
If demand is optional and supply is guaranteed, “potential” is mostly marketing.
