The first automobile, which is considered the beginning of the modern automobile era, was created by Karl Benz in 1885 in Germany. This automobile is known as the Benz Patent-Motorwagen. Karl Benz received a patent for his invention on January 29, 1886.
The Benz Patent-Motorwagen was a three-wheeled vehicle with a single-cylinder four-stroke engine producing 0.75 horsepower, allowing the car to reach speeds of up to 16 km/h.
