Bright potential gets snuffed out by a chaotic system.
That makes the system inefficient.
Unfair to artists, unfair to audience...unfair to all of us.
Hollywood clearly isn’t giving us the best, laughable considering they value our attention on the internet at roughly $18B per year [Est. $2.2B digital ad spend for global box office + streaming digital ad spend for the big 5 spenders: Disney ($4B-$6B), Amazon Prime Video ($4B-$6B), Warner Bros. ($3.5B-$5B), Netflix ($3B-$4.5B), Apple TV+ ($2B - $4B)]. A crazy amount to spend on people not necessarily selected for their talent, but how they or their family plays their special cards during:
