The Daily Program Presents: → "The Harvest" by @littlecakes A series of playful, eerie neo-folktales where strawberries, ritual, and luck shape a living mythology of care, mischief, death, and rebirth. → littlecakes is a thinly veiled alias. She is a Japanese woman living in the West. Her work using AI explores her experience as a native to both cultures, nostalgia, imagined folklore, and creating her own special space somewhere between sticky, messy, sweet, nightmarish, and the paranormal. 🍓 The Harvest unfolds as a neo-folktale, told through a richly segmented video installation. Shifting visual styles mirror the rhythms of a variety show, sustaining the artist’s collage-based approach. Set in a mythical world where strawberries are carefully grown, tended, and transformed into gifts, the work follows hooded caretakers and pink, fairy-like beings through cycles of nurturing, humor, mischief, death, and rebirth. The Harvest launches on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at 1PM ET.

Empire by Sheldrick Throughout last year, we released projects that move between archival practice, photography, and AI image-making. Today, we want to highlight one of those projects: Empire by Sheldrick (released January 21, 2025). The series reworks over 35,000 color slides from 1940–1990 into layered compositions, questioning how images shape memory, history, and power.
