A Short Story on the Genesis of Power Oil on Canvas, 120cm x 86cm, 2025 In this reinterpretation of the Garden of Eden, Eve becomes not the origin of sin, but the origin of emancipation. She reaches directly for the apple from the serpent’s mouth — a moment that symbolizes the conscious act of questioning authority and embracing self-determination. Above her, nine figures from mythology, history, and modern culture form a celestial constellation. The ground below, alive with black mambas, recalls the persistent dangers inherent in power: its seduction, its corruption, yet also its potency when understood and integrated. Each embodies movement away from centralized control toward autonomy, transparency, and decentralised power.
