1 week in and here’s my take on Farcaster so far: → Feels like a speakeasy where the real ones are already vibing and already know how to FRAME their words 🤫 (I’d seriously love to really get the hang of frames though so please send tips! Like should I be framing this cast?) → Everyone knows something I don’t (yet) like I think I have my /amps on now, but do I? 🤷🏽‍♀️ (like for real, can someone let me know? haha) → No engagement farming, just actual thoughtful convos - this is what I love about the early days of any app, community, platform - the genuine, willingness to connect 💞 Been lurking, but I think I’m starting to get it. Thanks @ted for the intro! Getting to actually engage with other humans is helping me learn the ropes and make friends :) Also, is there a secret handshake I missed? 🤝👀

One of the biggest barriers to adopting new social platforms is the lack of an organic buddy system. Without a way to immediately find & interact with “your people,” new users often download the app, poke around, and leave—without ever really experiencing the network effect. I got lucky—last night @ted breathed life into my social circles here with a simple intro post, and that made all the difference. It wasn’t just about visibility; it was about social anchoring—having enough engagement early on to make Farcaster feel like a community instead of an empty space. Would love to see more tools to help users seamlessly find & connect with their existing networks here. Maybe I’m missing it, but is there a way to automatically discover Twitter (aka X still not down with the rebrand), LinkedIn and Lens friends who are already on Farcaster? 👇🏽The rest of my thoughts & an experimental hidden frame hack below!
