I feel that a topic that goes overlooked is that trading touches the same reward system in the brain as gambling
On the bright side, the instant feedback of making or losing money allows the trader to learn extremely fast via operant conditioning which can reduce the learning curve
But an unsystematic and highly emotional approach can lead to maladaptive trading and a habit of (lack of) strategy which spirals into chasing highs
