Circle has moved ahead of BlackRock in tokenized U.S. Treasuries. Latest asset-level data as of March 15, 2026 shows Circle’s USYC at US$2.219B, compared with US$1.993B for BlackRock’s BUIDL. That puts USYC ahead by approximately US$226M. More importantly, this is more than a ranking shift. It suggests the market is increasingly rewarding products with practical utility inside institutional capital flows. Circle has positioned USYC not just as a tokenized Treasury product, but as yield-bearing collateral integrated with USDC. As efficiency, collateral mobility, and liquidity access become more important, utility is starting to outweigh brand. That said, BUIDL remains one of the strongest products in the category, supported by deep institutional distribution and broader liquidity pathways.
