GN I just love the smell of wet soil when it rains! Thought it’d be cool to know why it happens. That fresh, earthy scent after rain? It’s called Petrichor. There are tiny bacteria in the soil that make a thing called Geosmin, and when rain hits, it gets released into the air. Our brains link that smell to freshness and peace probably 'cause rain has always meant life!
