Today, I want us to look at the world through a lens that most of us are blessed to have a lens so close to us that we sometimes forget to appreciate this divine gift. Yes… our eyes 👀 You might not believe it, but once I decided to spend an entire day blindfolded. In just the first few hours, the world turned dark and unfamiliar. The thought of not being able to see the faces of my loved ones anymore, not watching the films I eagerly look forward to, not being able to do simple daily tasks or even drive- was terrifying. Eyes never lie, even when words do. And interestingly, our eyes don’t freeze, even in minus 40 degrees celsius! That’s thanks to the rich network of blood vessels and the tear fluid, which isn’t just water. Tears contain electrolytes (like sodium and potassium) and proteins that lower the freezing point, acting like a natural antifreeze. This astonishing organ allows us to perceive the world in all its colors, faces and beauty.

Our eyes are not just for seeing- they are windows to our emotions and inner world. When we’re happy, our eyes sparkle. When we’re sad, even without tears, the pain is visible in our gaze. So today, let’s be sincerely grateful for this extraordinary gift. And whenever we can, let’s use eyes to seek beauty… Because the world is still full of things that are truly worth seeing.

Having eyes and the ability to see is an amazing and priceless blessing; a blessing that we may forget in our daily lives. The eye is not just an organ; it is a window to the world, to light, to color, to life

Eyes never lie, even when words do – So true! And it’s amazing to think about how our eyes keep working, even in -40°C, thanks to nature’s antifreeze tears. Pure magic!
