The rarest PlayStation on the planet was hiding in a closet 👀 Photographer Julian Domanski recently visited Ken Kutaragi, the co-creator of the original PlayStation. During the visit, Kutaragi casually revealed something almost no one knew existed: a prototype Nintendo PlayStation, which he kept in his home. The Nintendo PlayStation was born in the early 1990s as a result of a brief and unsuccessful collaboration between Nintendo and Sony. After the partnership ended in a high-profile split, Sony went its own way—and thus was born the PlayStation, which forever changed the gaming industry. Most believed that all the prototypes were destroyed or lost. One of the last known examples sold at auction for $360,000. Kutaragi's version, meanwhile, has been quietly sitting in his home all this time, untouched and unseen.
