The excitement surrounding Perp DEXs in Web3 is truly amazing.
Numerous projects with low fees, point systems, and airdrop farming are launching Hyperliquid, Lighter, Aster, Variational, Paradex, Trove, EdgeX, and more. But do we really need so many?
To be honest, two or three good ones are sufficient. The majority of them are acting in the same manner.
What’s missing and actually matters:
➡ Real innovation - real utility like RWA integration or cross-chain support.
➡ Risk management - hacks, liquidity risks, sustainability.
➡ Community focus- not just farming, but long-term user retention.
Without these, most of these projects won’t survive.
