Ado Campeol is considered the "father" of tiramisu. The dessert recipe was created accidentally in the kitchen of his restaurant in the late 1960s. In Italy, restaurateur Ado Campeol, who is considered the creator of the tiramisu dessert, has died at the age of 93. Campeol owned the Le Beccherie restaurant in Treviso.
