Let me tell you a story about the beauty of Farcaster Friendship. Today I went back to work for the first time in almost a year. I went on maternity leave at 20 weeks pregnant when we found out about a complication (thankfully turned out fine) and have had the immense privilege of being home with baby Rizz for the past 7 months thanks to the incredible support of @royalaid. I am starting very part time at work, but have still been feeling all of the feels leading up to today. Our queen, @accidentalboymom, knew I was having a hard time and checked on me this morning, then treated me to coffee by doing a mobile order to the coffee shop that was on my route to work. Not only was it delicious and heavily caffeinated, but also made me feel so seen and loved as she knows what leaving your baby to go to work for the first time feels like. It was good luck in the liquid form of a mom hug. I don't have the right words, but thank you for knowing my heart @accidentalboymom, you made it so much lighter. 💖
Nearly 15 years ago, @royalaid and I began spending a lot of time together. I was having a lot of big emotions and a hard time overall due to personal events and he navigated it in a kind and gentle way. Part of how he did this was through music. We would listen to the band Explosions in the Sky. The room would be dark and otherwise quiet and he would just hold me. In particular one of our favorites was "Your Hand in Mine." I remember feeling safe, secure, and loved. It wasn't my usual music choice, but his recommendation just felt right.
So hear me out: Make a latte and then put it in the fridge, don't ice it. Then use it in life cereal the next morning instead of plain milk and call it a Life Latte. Or be unhinged and just just put cold brew in your cereal.
