It’s actually possible to line up all the other planets of the Solar System in the empty space between the Earth and the Moon! The average distance from Earth to the Moon is about 384,400 kilometers. And if you add together the diameters of the other seven planets—Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune—the total comes to roughly 380,018 kilometers. This means that even if you placed all those planets in a straight line between Earth and the Moon, there would still be about 4,000 kilometers of empty space left! The vastness of space is truly beyond our imagination.
