Have you ever noticed that theatergoers always leave in a spectacular manner? They must "exit, pursued by a bear." They cannot simply leave a place. You would be tapping-dancing out of awkward discussions and singing your daily coffee order if life were a musical. Trying to mumble, "What did they say?" without receiving the death gaze from the theater purist next to you is, let's face it, the finest part of any performance.
