“Human rights” is a weird way to frame an issue with many intersecting variables (culture, religion, economics, to name a few).
It strikes me as a simple, strident statement that glosses over an enormous amount of complexity- I’m uncomfortable with the way it seems designed to short-circuit nuanced thought.
