It comes down to this wrt religion:
Do I believe in god? I’m not a fan of belief, and it’s not scientific.
Instead, I choose to act as if god exists (hand wavy about which god).
I think it’s good to think you’re constantly being watched by an invisible man/woman in the sky.

The interesting thing is this can be approached scientifically. I haven’t done this rigorously, but there should be a way to run an experiment to figure it out.
