The nature of human relationships evolved in a context of your survival depended on needing other people.
Technology has made the world so productive that you don’t actually need other people for survival.
My suspicion is fundamentally why marriage and sex are trending down.

I can see why conservative social values are an appealing solution, but also see the argument for fundamentally changing the nature of romantic relationships
