2024 wordsss.com recap: a bigger and better inaugural year than I could have dreamed of :) launched end of January as "a storytelling studio focused on helping founders, creators, designers and inventors tell more compelling and coherent tales of their work" really proud of all the work we did this year, but we have so much to learn. we are doubling down on what we're good at it in the new year, looking to work on more of the same: positioning (and re-positioning), launches, rebrands, website copy, product marketing, and decks. reach out if you think you could use our help, would love to chat/yap/spew. and a huge thank you to everyone who was part of our year 1 journey, we are just getting started :))

Privy will always hold a special place in my heart working with them in 2022 helped me discover what I'm good at (at a time when I was really trying to figure that out) Privy was the first crypto company I worked with and the first client I invested in, because I was charmed, inspired, and impressed by @henri Asta (and later @segall) the work we did together was one of the primary inspirations for starting wordsss.com — to help teams like Privy tell their story to the world

Brilliant work on the Ponder positioning. The tagline "Put your money where their mind is" perfectly captures the game's essence - predicting collective thought rather than just expressing personal opinion. The social intuition angle makes this stand out from typical prediction markets.

new work: @ponder for @cojo.eth Ponder is a game of social intuition. Every day, you predict what the majority will choose based on your ability to read the crowd. When you’re right, you win real money. Put your money where their mind is. ----- positioning & copy by wordsss.com design by Ben Kochanowski

Projects we would like to work on. We recognize the power of putting it out there (some may call this “manifesting”) and thus compiled this list. If you successfully refer us a client that matches this list criteria we will send you $720 and donate $180 to the charity of your choosing. Please note: we do not want to simply change your landing page copy or write long-form content for SEO. We are only interested in working with teams who buy in to the importance of this work and are committed to delivering critical feedback along the way. This post is inspired by the magnificent Works in Progress Magazine: https://wordsss.notion.site/Projects-we-would-like-to-work-on-1d0488aca7f3803e8175c8ccdc18469f?pvs=4

two new projects on Claude: (1) Financial Advisor: uploaded my tax return and asked it to give me a list of 30 Qs to answer to best help me achieve my financial goals I put those answers in a Gdoc and had it create a financial plan for me then re-uploaded it all as "project knowledge" so I can ask it questions as-needed (2) Personal Trainer: uploaded a Gdoc with my personal health information, fitness baselines, goals and preferences and asked it to give me a list of Qs it needed to best help me achieve my fitness goals added those back into the Gdoc and uploaded them alongside my shoulder PT plan (recently rebuilt with Deep Research) and @kneesovertoesg exercises to the "project knowledge" section thinking monthly check-ins to gauge my progress and one-off chats to come up with workouts when I want to switch it up (this was mad cumbersome and will probably be solved with Plaid/ Apple Health MCPs but should be helpful in the interim)

most of the clients we do positioning work for fit into three buckets: 1. launches — telling their story for the very first time (can be a new product or a new company) 2. found PMF — with a different story than they had been telling in the market and need to update (essentially a rebrand) 3. finding PMF — have a new vision for the company that needs an updated story (a pivot, to varying degrees) #1 and #2 are really fun for founders — generally optimistic milestones, big press coverage, VCs tweet tweeting... life is good #3 is the part of the story that only gets glamorized when you've made it, because it takes BALLS (male female or otherwise!) to decide that the story you raised on, and hired a team with, might not be true anymore. and then you have to take action on that! @pushix + team have trudged through two versions of their company before arriving here. impressive team. impressive focus. impressive product. turn your next idea into a working product, in minutes:
