ChatGPT is like micro-transactions but for intellectual work. Before, many tasks were too cheap / simple to justify finding and paying someone to do them - so you just did them yourself. Now, those tasks are cheaply off-loadable to an AI assistant. Suddenly everyone can afford a reasonably competent assistant.
