At the recent Ether community event, I was excited about the discussion around Ether and that the community is learning its lessons. During the bull market of 2018-2021, the Bitcoin community had lapsed into complacency as they believed they had succeeded and dominated. around 2021, BTC had been a bit of a 'laggard' and even flirted with as a 'baby boomer token', which inspired a renaissance and partly explains Bitcoin's re-emergence in this cycle. In a similar vein, it seems to me that parts of the ethereum community have fallen into the same trap of complacency from 2022 to the present, but as ethereum is now being challenged as a laggard, many parts within the ethereum ecosystem are on the verge of being revitalized. Much like the renaissance that Bitcoin has experienced, we may see Ether undergo the same renaissance in the coming years, a self-reflection forced by competition.
