Help us improve the Ethereum on Arm resources. We are looking for community feedback on the current documentation. Check the link, test the instructions, and let us know what’s missing or what could be better. https://ethereum-on-arm-documentation.readthedocs.io/en/latest/index.html

1/ From the very first day, we were promised that an /ethereum node could run on any consumer device. In 2024, you can run on a $200 ARM64 board using ~10w: - 1 Archive node + a validator client - A Supernode (L1+L2 on the same device) This is called decentralization. +info👇

The Raspberry pi 5 image is here. You can now run an Ethereum node on this device (16 GB RAM only). Please read the docs carefully, particularly the NVMe disk part (see next link). https://ethereum-on-arm-documentation.readthedocs.io/en/latest/quick-guide/download-and-install.html#raspberry-pi-5 We experienced some compatibility issues testing the NVMe storage . It turns out that disks with Phison controller often fail or shutdown. So, try to avoid these devices at all costs. See the recommended hardware section for more info. https://ethereum-on-arm-documentation.readthedocs.io/en/latest/quick-guide/recommended-hardware.html We only recommend running a node on a Raspberry Pi 5 if you already own a 16 GB RAM model. If you want to run a node on an ARM64 board from scratch, get one with native NVMe support (again, see the recommended hardware section above). Let us know your feedback/issues.
