JUST IN: The SEC approves a proposal by Nasdaq to support the trading and settlement of tokenized securities.
Depository Trust Company (DTC) will lead a pilot program including stocks from the Russell 1000 Index and select ETFs.
The tokenized shares will carry the same ticker symbols and pricing as their traditional counterpart.
