has nothing to do w publicly doing great work or sharing helpful things - more so talking about performance for the sake of only self gain, scripted, which a lot of “social” networks have rewarded for a long time, ppl were following incentives and can’t blame them for that, but the incentives can change
fc a prime example of new internet communities going back to being human, realness has always been valued here in a big way, we can both share/build interesting things while also being more of ourself, both are valued here, the latter doesn’t negate the former and sometimes it even makes ppl more interested in the former
experience > appearance
uncertainty > certainty
unpolished > polished
life as it is > life as ppl want it to be
