In the shadow.
Yesterday while running, I watched my shadow and suddenly saw my younger self.
The shadow doesn’t show my wrinkles, my bald spot, the bags under my eyes…it shows me the way I looked when I was 17.
I haven’t really grown taller or fatter since then so for my shadow I’m still 17 which was a weird thing to see.
And it was also something very comforting and confronting at the same time.
I’ll never look at my shadow the same way.
