It does seem like the "Generation Beta" and "Generation Chad" terms are a bit playful or informal, and might not be widely recognized or used seriously. Referring to age cohorts by their decade of birth, as is done in China, could indeed be a more straightforward and universally understood approach. It avoids the potential confusion that can arise from more creative or culturally specific generational labels. Using decades as a reference point also has the advantage of being easily adaptable and clear across different cultures and contexts. For example, people born in the 1980s are often referred to as "80s kids," which is simple and descriptive. What do you think about this approach? Do you have any other suggestions for how we might better label or understand generational cohorts?
