Trump discloses 1,000 more recent stock trades, including in companies directly affected by Iran war
President Donald Trump has disclosed making another 1,000-plus stock transactions in June, continuing an unprecedented pace of trading activity while in office that has drawn scrutiny over his ability to personally profit off of the presidency.
The trades, submitted in a filing to the Office of Government Ethics, included the purchase and sale of thousands of dollars of stock in energy companies directly affected by Trump’s ongoing war in Iran.
The transactions also targeted companies in a wide range of industries that Trump has sought to shape through his policies, including drug manufacturers like Eli Lilly and Merck and major artificial intelligence firms like Nvidia.
The White House denied that Trump has any influence over his investment accounts, saying in a statement that his portfolio “is independently managed by third-party financial institutions.”
