Why is there a land between two countries belonging to neither of the two?? What!!. Just learnt about Kaliningrad which is russian but located between Lithuania and Poland. I'm sure if I do some historical research, there'll be an explanation that makes sense but still!

It's not really "hijacked". It's more like none of the other nations wanted to claim it because it's already more populated by russians. They could've integrated with any of the nearby countries if those countries wanted
