Agree. The double FABs add visual noise, and the search close interaction breaks a common UX convention. Using the input “X” to exit instead of clear creates confusion and a moment of friction.

I think it’s a bit of a false dichotomy. A self-custodial financial layer enables the creator/social layer — trading, payments, and identity become primitives that content and social apps can build on top of. If Base nails the reliable, composable financial rails while staying open, the market will naturally decide which social and creator use cases win. Shipping in the open + fast feedback feels like the right meta.
