In the Netherlands, police detained a parrot as an accomplice in a crime - it was sitting on its owner's shoulder while he was stealing from a store. The story itself happened back in 2019: the police did not have a cage, so they put the bird in a cell. All Dutch media wrote about the situation, carefully hiding the parrot's eyes with a black stripe. Just like a real suspect. But there was a happy ending - the bird was released along with the owner when he paid the fine.
