why nobody is after a long-term, commited relationship anymore? my take on a financial pov: Once upon a time, the phrase “we heal together” sounded like an investment commitment. There was risk, effort was required; but the return was peace, trust, and growing old together. Now everyone is after “the lowest cost, the highest return" Hearts look like stock-market screens; instant movements, rapid crashes, manipulations… Relationships entered with the mindset of “I’ll give it a try, if it works: we’ll continue” are dismissed with “I closed it at a loss” the moment they don’t work out. Intentions aren’t transparent; words are public offerings, emotions are futures contracts. Everyone puts forward a polished, made-up personality to seem better; the most real thing is what people hide. A serious relationship is no longer an expectation, almost a myth. Romance has become nostalgia, emotionality is seen as weakness, and loyalty falls into the category of luxury goods.
