Japan's consumer inflation slowed in February as the government reintroduced energy subsidies, but it remained well above the Bank of Japan's 2% target, according to Jinshi Data. The headline CPI rose 3.7% year-on-year in February, down from a 4.0% increase in January. While food prices continued to rise, government subsidies for water and electricity bills took some of the pressure off consumer prices.
