Human-brain-computer fusion (BCI) is already underway and will likely become mainstream within decades. Neuralink, Synchron and others have implanted devices enabling paralyzed people to control computers/phones by thought. Long-term possibilities include memory augmentation, direct knowledge upload, AI symbiosis, and even partial consciousness merging.Challenges remain huge: biocompatibility, bandwidth limits, ethical risks (privacy, autonomy, inequality), and potential loss of "human essence".Probability: Basic motor/sensory fusion → highly likely by 2035–2045; deep cognitive fusion → plausible but uncertain by end of century.Related links: https://neuralink.com https://synchron.com https://spectrum.ieee.org/brain-computer-interface https://www.nature.com/articles/s41593-024-01692-1
