Today my son and I baked “kruidnoten” (gingerbread nuts) for the first time. They're a bit too big, but otherwise, I'm not dissatisfied with the result. We hope that Sinterklaas and Piet will also be happy with our gingerbread nuts. Tomorrow we'll celebrate Sinterklaas' birthday, "pakjesavond" (pacels evening, an evening full of presents for children).
