Big news. I'm now a Cursor Ambassador. Any suggestions or questions for the Cursor team? Send them over and I'll get them over.

Also, I’ve been a cursor power user since… forever. I wouldn’t mind being an ambassador too ;)

Nice. You can apply. If you host a Cursor event high chance you become a Cursor ambassador

I’m sure it’s on the roadmap but being able to install/manage/run MCP servers from the UI would be great

Would love to have a built-in way to use a locally-installed LLM!

Would depends on the core models getting better. Been a while since I tried to do solidity with an Llm. At the time it was decent but this is around time of gpt3 or 3.5.

Claude 3.5 is pretty good - main thing though is risk and having to be super careful of errors - even basic contract calls on ui is risky - just had a major error with 0x swap sdk which resulting in all tokens being heisted

Copilot is free for open source repos. Would Cursor ever consider the same?

I suggested to them today as well! Think it’d be a smart marketing move

Love cursor but honestly it feels like they’ve started monetizing their platform before it was ready. It’s shifting so rapidly and the results differ wildly. We’re seeing greed over product.

Some people have told me they’re losing money (which I found surprising). But either way they’re spending hundreds of millions on ai atm. Glad they’re not burning vc cash to give that for free. Almost many people think the platform is more than ready and a huge productivity boost which is why it’s growing so quick

I think they’re tarnishing their brand image which will make people jump ship as soon as a worthy competitor emerges. They’re up against Microsoft, Google and OpenAI. I personally switched to using

Have to disagree that asking customers to pay for a product ruins their brand. But you’re not the sort of customer anyone wants anyway. So makes sense to use a free version open source alternative.

Would love to see them explore options for hosting or more built in version control options. The agents are great, but would love more dev experience stuff
