I decided that I’ll uninstall Farcaster today, before going to bed. It just doesn’t feel like the social network I was imagining, one that would bring real value to society using Web3 primitives, but rather just another niche Web3 space focused on the financialization of every aspect of life. So there’s a lot of frustration coming from my own expectations, and for the past few weeks, the feed just hasn’t been enjoyable anymore. I’ll keep managing @vocdoni and occasionally checking in via the website to boost Vocdoni casts with my own account, but I don’t expect to be active anytime soon, at least not over the summer. We built Votecaster.io, the first universally verifiable poll system for Farcaster, using @vocdoni's voting infra and Frames v1. — Vote directly from any Farcaster client. — Supports multiple censuses: all Farcaster users, followers, channels, NFT/ERC20 holders — Used by DAOs and communities for internal governance, like @thehaberdashery, ProxyswapDAO or BLEU. — Besides community governance, Votecaster also hosted hundreds of polls with thousands of verifiable votes — Features include liquid delegation, DM notifications, voter tracking, and onchain verifiability While not our current focus, we’re seeking support to evolve Votecaster into a Farcaster miniapp and eventually integrate it with our next-gen protocol DAVINCI.vote, enabling onchain-grade, gasless, anonymous governance. 🔗 Votecaster.io #farcasterrpgfspring2025
