"language was the first technology": fascinating
I studied five foreign languages since high school, so perhaps our shared love for linguistics is one of the reasons we seem to understand one another so well (although mine is admittedly distinctly more 'applied linguistics' than the 'theoretical linguistics' that I gather you are referring to)
At some point in my experiments using LLMs to create artistic processes that helped to guide other AI image and video generation tools (like pseudo-algorithmic prompting: see attached post from my website), I stumbled across the vernacular in my mind that I was tapping into the magic of the latent space, and I tried to use that literally by having the LLM help me create algorithmic latin-based text prompts
The results felt absolutely magical, as though I had discovered a way to turn sometimes vague 'concepts of ideas' in my head into visual results that defied all logic and far exceeded my own hopes and dreams
And so I started using two word Latin titles for my artworks as a spell name and one line Latin descriptions as the incantation to to help encapsulate this feeling of magic and this Aura of the mystical for viewers, when that is the only title and description given for my artworks: no other context than the spell, incantation and tools used to create their manifestation
The QC is an example of that concept based on the artwork you collected recently
