one of the reasons i want to put most of my work onchain, especially my artworks, is preservation. i want my work to be preserved for, theoretically, forever
even though everything will come to an end, the chain, in theory, lives longer than almost anything else. that’s one of the first reasons
the other reason is that it gives me a new path of distribution. it lets me meet new people, make new friends, and find new readers and eventually, collectors
it’s also a response to the current algorithm which is the traditional art world where artists like myself have almost no chance of being acknowledged or looked at by most entities
but this onchain world brings me together with more artists, curators, and collectors who are looking at smaller voices as well. we are forming an underground which is a more united and more unified community that believes in the life of art more than in the art of life. this is something that will completely change the art world. we may be far from seeing it, but i do see it happening
and, of course, i’m also putting my work on-chain because it’s a new way for me to sell my work and make a living doing what i love. it feels much easier and much fairer than the other ways i’ve tried
i have yet to reach that moment, but i hope that one day i will🌹
