artists are among the few people who are still paying real attention and we are losing so much by not paying attention to them. they do the work most of us avoid and translate it into something we can feel. and because of this when we scroll past them we are actually scrolling past ourselves. we gave art the same three seconds we give everything else and then wonder why nothing moves us anymore. we stopped being still enough to let it actually move us. the artists making things that matter right now are making work that asks us to stop and the ones who stop are the ones who end up carrying something with them for days. so a question that i keep asking myself is if we are still awake enough to find art or just sleepy enough to see the content. 🌹 https://thehiddeni.substack.com/p/i-almost-scrolled-past-these
