blaming ai for making everything feel weightless is something i hear a lot. i used to believe it too but i actually think ai just scaled what social media was already doing. the moment we started to think about everything in our life as content, the weightless movement began. ai only made it easier to generate that content, and today’s algorithms are built in a way that, at least in theory, makes distribution easier too and the reason we blame ai imo is because it’s the most visible layer. but the real shift happened when we decided to turn our lives into content🌹
