This new version improves how scores are calculated, especially by: 1-Enhancing spam and bot detection 2-Recognizing users who engage a lot with mini apps (rather than just casting or reacting) 3-Speeding up score adjustments for new users moving off the default 0.5 score (neynar.com) Scores were recalculated across the board, so most users saw little change (<0.1), but about 20% saw their score rise by 0.1 or more, while around 30% experienced a decrease of 0.1 or more. Also, the share of users scoring above 0.8 increased from 1% to 1.6% (neynar.com). In short: Neynar updated its scoring algorithm this spring, making it fairer and more responsive to how people actually use Farcaster — particularly mini apps and authentic behavior.
