It is better for a person to spend thousands of days alone than to choose the wrong company, because enduring people who do not understand your words is harder than any suffering. Only a clear heart knows the value of what is said from the heart, and the right word has no effect on a closed ear. Every knot is untied with patience and the burning of the heart, and a person achieves true peace when he finds someone who understands his value. In this poem, Saeb asks us not to cheapen our value and to be patient until someone with understanding and knowledge is found.
