Autism and paracetamol🚨
The FDA has initiated a change in the instructions for paracetamol (Tylenol) in the USA.
It will be noted that the use of the drug during pregnancy is associated with the risk of developing neurobehavioral disorders in children, such as autism and ADHD.
The FDA notes that the association has been observed in a number of large cohort studies (for example, Nurses’ Health Study II, Boston Birth Cohort), especially if the drug is used frequently.
An information campaign for families has been launched and it is planned to notify doctors across the country about these new recommendations.
I hope the Ministry of Health will not ignore this news, will study it, as well as the reason for such loud statements, and will voice its official opinion.
